Brenda Gil Lopez
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Who I Am
I’m a first-generation, queer, Mexican-American woman and a millennial therapist who believes healing is both sacred and revolutionary. My practice is grounded in values of love, knowledge, beauty, hope, and spirituality. I love tattoos, heavy metal, and traveling to culturally rich tropical places. Outside of sessions, I stay rooted through breathwork, meditation, and spiritual rituals that help me expand my consciousness and stay present with the people I serve.
Why I Do This Work
My path to becoming a sex therapist was shaped by my own healing journey through childhood sexual trauma, hypersexuality, infidelity, and kink. I know what it’s like to carry shame, to feel disconnected from your body, and to long for a deeper sense of pleasure and belonging. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others reclaim their sexuality on their own terms. I work to dismantle the heteronormative and patriarchal systems that restrict sexual expression and perpetuate shame.
Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating sexual trauma, shame, and identity exploration—including kink, BDSM, and non-traditional relationships. Whether you’re seeking to reconnect with your body, explore your desires, or heal from past wounds, I offer a non-judgmental, affirming space where all parts of you are welcome.
Let’s Connect
If you’re ready to explore healing, pleasure, and self-trust in a space that honors your full humanity, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation. Together, we can co-create a path toward the life and relationships you deserve.
